My Life
My Life was founded in 2016 as Student Life; a collaboration with the University of Suffolk centred around mental health and life as a young person. We co-created a publication with students to discuss topics important to them, and to provide a platform for their creativity.
The Unlock My Life project was introduced to bring My Life’s vital and award-winning mental health and wellbeing (MHW) work in schools, to a community of people that was hard to reach and very much in need of support.
We currently operate in over 30 prisons across England and Scotland; from Category B local establishments, to Category D open condition establishments.
Here, we deliver bespoke MHW awareness training, complemented by a Mental Health Ambassador (MHA) programme; which encourages peer-to-peer support and a reduction in stigma and discrimination surrounding mental ill-health.
