Changed
To provide care and support to prisoners who want to 'go straight'. We befriend them in prison and help them rebuild a life upon release by helping them find accommodation and support within the community to include joining in locally, volunteering and working where appropriate. We keep in touch and support them for as long as needed. We have volunteers that visit them in prison and support them while they adjust to life in the community. Our aim is that these people never re-offend and our track record is excellent so far. This organisation has/is supporting 75+ clients and is currently actively supporting 13 individuals who are shortly to be released or are living 'outside' and require continued support for the time being. It is hard to start a new life when you have been inside for a while and the world and everything has changed. We aim to ensure that these individuals feel cared about and supported to acclimatise and be useful in society post prison.
