If you were the Chief Inspector of Prisons, what criteria would you use for assessing the treatment and conditions of women in prison? HM Inspectorate of Prisons (HMIP) is reviewing and updating its Expectations (the criteria used to inspect) for adult women prisons. This follows their work to review their Expectations for the male prison estate in 2017.
