BeyondTrauma Academy CIC was founded from lived experience and built on the belief that survivors deserve more than coping — they deserve freedom beyond trauma.
We are a UK-based, global-reaching organisation dedicated to empowering survivors and equipping the professionals who support them.
At the heart of our work is the Beyond Trauma Advisory Network (BTAN) — a professional membership forum packed with toolkits, guidance, best practice resources, and case support. BTAN is designed to be the go-to hub for anyone working with trauma survivors, offering the knowledge and community needed to create real change.

BF Adventure, established in 1989, has developed a well-equipped and fully accessible 60-acre activity centre (“Goodygrane”) with four flooded granite quarries set in woods and heathland on the rural outskirts of Penryn. From this central location the charity, also constituted as a limited company, delivers programmes to challenge and inspire around 4,000 people throughout Cornwall each year.

Its experienced and highly motivated team of instructors and volunteers use these exciting outdoor resources to support children and adults who experience multiple disadvantage including difficulties which stem from physical, mental, behavioural and/or learning difficulties. Through a vast range of activities ranging from archery, abseiling and bushcraft to watersports and the zipwire, the team supports and monitors participants in building confidence and self-esteem, developing life skills - with accreditations as appropriate – to promote engagement and positive change.

Birmingham Community Development Scheme (BCDS) is a specialist organisation in Birmingham that provides mentoring to young offenders, ex-offenders and the long termed unemployed. BCDS specialized in the delivery of behaviour modification workshops, employability workshops, job clubs, CV and cover letters workshops and other programmes for young people who are at risk of offending and people who want to get back into work.

Birth Companions is a unique charity which supports women experiencing severe disadvantage during pregnancy, birth and early parenting. We are the UK’s leading organisation working in this area, with widely acknowledged expertise in the needs of pregnant women and new mothers facing severe disadvantage both in prison and the community.

The women we support face a range of issues and challenges including mental health problems, substance misuse, a history of domestic and sexual violence, trafficking, experience of detention and human rights violations overseas. They are particularly vulnerable during their pregnancies due to the effects of poor health, poverty, lack of support from family and friends as well as isolation.
Our overall aim is to empower women and help them to give their babies best possible start in life.

We also seek to raise awareness and to influence changes in policy and practice to improve conditions for the women we work with.

Using drama-based activities, Blank Cheque works with underrepresented and marginalised people to develop life skills, connect with communities, be creative, make art, and have fun.

BLAST Foundation is a Christian "Through The Gate" Resettlement organisation, working with prisoners and ex-offenders and their families of all faiths and no faiths. BLAST aim to be provider of choice, for prisons and probation trusts wishing to reduce recidivism and improve resettlement for prison inmates who want to transform their lives and break their cycle of re-offending. BLAST achieves this through our transformation, employability & business programmes delivered in prison. These programmes combine and are supported by BLASTs mentor and resettlement services, to support ex-offenders and their families in the difficult task of re-integrating in society

Our purpose is to improve the quality of life of people in Newcastle by bringing together the diversity and expertise of the voluntary and community sector to deliver a wide variety of services. The Consortium is a single point of contracting, benefitting commissioners by reducing transaction costs and befitting providers by developing them into a supply chain in which they can work together in a structured way. We have 40 members from the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector.

Currently we are delivering a contract to deliver an element of Fulfilling Lives, a highly innovative programme in to help people in Newcastle Gateshead with multiple needs (in terms of addiction, mental health, offending, and housing) to better manage their lives, by ensuring that the services they use are more tailored and better connected to each other.

Blueprint: Film Foundation is a company limited by guarantee that delivers film and multimedia projects to community groups and education establishments across Lincolnshire, Yorkshire & The Humber and the East Midlands. Since forming in 2007, the foundation has been awarded small but frequent grants that have enabled us to deliver community orientated projects and forge working relationships with a range of councils and associations such as Lincoln Council, Abbey Access Training and Education & Youth Services. We have also received support from a variety of funders including Heritage Lottery, European Social Fund and First Light.

Booted and Rooted Ltd is in the business of changing and shaping lives through innovation, enterprise, and poetry.

Based at the Greenman, Loughborough Junction, the work that we are doing is aimed at providing a holistic approach to solving some of our society’s biggest challenges.

We work with people from all backgrounds and champion diversity, inclusion, and well-being and aim to create a place where everyone feels valued and has a sense of belonging, helping to keep the public safe. Giving people the chance to turn their lives around.

We undertake the full range of work with offenders before and after sentences. This will include assessment, sentence implementation, offender management, and producing reports. We provide case management support to a full range of offenders utilizing service procedures and practice directions that underpin professional judgment

We collect books from publishers, libraries, shops and individuals, sort and stamp them and redistribute them free of charge to organizations working with homeless people, prisons, offenders and ex-offenders, womens refuges, refugees,asylum applicants and others with limited funds. We want to see more Borderline Books groups in other locations - it is an excellent project for ex-offenders to run. We can offer an 'office in a box', plus initial supply of books and a wealth of experience. The project is very flexible and could be combined with literacy classes or writing groups as well as giving useful job-training skills. We sometimes have to turn down book donations as we don't have funds to bring them up to Gateshead so local editions would be great.

With training centres in 4 London prisons and one in the community in London, Bounce Back trains people in sought after construction industry skills. Offering an end to end solution from prison to employment we engage with participants 6 months prior to release to help them through their journey gaining skills and qualifications that can lead to employment on release either within our painting and decorating social enterprise or with a number of construction industry partners with whom they work. Their aim is to change lives and break the cycle of crime by training people in custody for employment and a positive future.

The charity provides support to the general community through cold-water-sports activities, regeneration of natural habitat projects in the outdoor environment, education, bee-keeping, restoration of boats and traction engines, providing a seafront venue as a safe meeting area, bespoke vocational and academic education and training, links to other support agencies such as NHS-Op Courage, veterans welfare and mental health support.

We are a Sport for Good, and Rehabilitation organisation that works with young people 16-25yr olds that are Not in Employment, Education or Training, Young Adult Offenders, those at risk of offending, young victims of crimes & abuse and other socially and economically disadvantaged groups .We believe in the goodness of the human spirit and that people change people. We provide support, opportunity, guidance and advice to disadvantaged young people through engagement in boxing, sport 
and empowering mentoring relationships.

We run bespoke programmes for large or small groups and deliver a one to one programme for young people whose learning and development would benefit from an individual programme. We create realistic alternative pathways with clear progression routes with the help of our partners. We have a strong emphasis on positive empowering relationships

Brainkind (formerly The Disabilities Trust & BIRT) is the UK’s leading charity helping people thrive after a brain injury. We provide innovative rehabilitation and ongoing support to ensure life after brain injury can be a life well lived. With over 40 years of experience and expertise in brain injury and neurorehabilitation, we understand how a brain injury can challenge every aspect of life. At Brainkind, we are committed to providing person-centered, compassionate care. Our multi-disciplinary teams deliver the very best specialist neurological care and rehabilitation. Led by clinical psychiatrists and neuropsychologists, our team includes occupational therapists, physiotherapists, nurses, speech & language therapists, social workers, therapy assistants, and rehabilitation support workers.

Brathay programmes and community interventions focus on using proven techniques in youth development such as transactional analysis and NLP to forge real change in young lives.
We seek to engage with the reform of rehabilitation and potential partners for delivery of solutions. We have bases for operations across North West England and in Yorkshire and our programmes are replicable across the UK. We have a flexible, scalable and economical delivery capacity. We want to talk to potential partners including prime contractors and other tier 2 and 3 deliverers.
We have proven expertise in delivering effective programmes for diverse groups such as :

All we do is supported by research and evidence.

The Bridge Programme provides mentoring, support workers and activities to people with mental health, homelessness, domestic abuse, drugs, alcohol, and other offending issues.

We provide volunteer mentors for people at risk of offending, including ex-prisoners, people on community sentences, homeless people and people with drug and alcohol problems.

We recruit train and support volunteer mentors who will meet with people for 16 weeks to help them to achieve their goals, which might be related to housing, training, benefits or anything else.

We welcome self-referrals or referrals from Criminal justice agencies.

Provision of advocacy services for those who require support.

Chepstow House (part of Brighter Futures) offers support to reduce adult reoffending amongst women in Stoke-on-Trent. Self referrals are accepted.

Support is provided through Support Workers, peer support groups and activity, courses and learning opportunities, and complementary therapies as well as access to a range of professionals including mental health and physical health nurses, and CAB advisors.
