Since 1985 Seaview has been providing an open access wellbeing centre at the heart of St Leonards-on-Sea Seaview was set up by Helene White and Barbara Silvester, with the help of Jane Amstad in February 1985. At the time of Care in the Community a number of people who had been used to institutional living due to mental health problems, unable to cope with the sudden change and inadequate support found themselves street-homeless. Seaview’s inception was an organic voluntary sector initiative, creating responsive local support. Seaview became a registered Charity in August 1985 and a Company Limited by Guarantee in September 1996.
Today Seaview Centre and activities are funded from a mix of statutory funding, grants and charitable donations, and delivered with an open access approach to people experiencing a range of issues including: mental health, learning disabilities, substance misuse, physical disabilities social isolation, rough sleeping and homelessness.

Our primary purpose is to provide support and training to ex-offenders and their families, improving their quality of life and thereby reducing the rate of reoffending. The mechanics through which our aims are reached is largely via peer-mentoring from qualified and knowledgeable members of the organisation who are experts in their chosen field. Presently, Second Chance (UK) provides the following services:
• Job finding skills
• Training in computer hardware
• Legal counseling

Second Step is the largest voluntary-sector mental health provider in Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire and B&NES, with a range of services for people with complex homelessness or addiction issues or offending backgrounds. Recovery is central, working towards their goals and aspirations using innovative approaches including peer support.

Seetec has over 29 years experience of delivering employability and skills programmes across the UK, including DWP Work Programme, Work Choice, SFA Skills Support for the Unemployed, Apprenticeships and NOMS ESF Programme. We have supported 100,000 customers in the last year engaging a wide range of customer groups, including ex-offenders through the Work Programme (across 3 CPAs nationally) and through our NOMS ESF contract. Through delivery of these programmes, Seetec has developed strong partnerships with over 500 framework partners nationally that provide support and guidance to customers with multiple needs. Provision includes support for Local Authorities (LAs) and voluntary sector organisations.

Sefton CVS work in partnership with HMP Liverpool in Merseyside. Sefton CVS act as a strategic partner within HMP Liverpool to broker partnerships with a range of local Voluntary, Community and Faith Sector organisations. Sefton CVS staff help to link the prison's to local services and support which help meet the Health & Social Care needs of offenders being released into the local area. Co-ordinating this creative, innovative approach aims to enhance offender resettlement and reduce the risk of re-offending, enhancing statutory and VCFSE Sector partnership working.

The Selby Trust is committed to promoting community safety and social justice to maintain safer neighbourhoods, reduce violence and anti-social behaviour by creating options and opportunities for ex-offenders adults and young people who have had contact with the criminal Justice system or at risk of becoming involved. The Trust has managed community hub facilities and partnership projects for over 22 years. These include The Selby Centre as a prime site as a multi-purpose community centre utilised by over 100+ social action organisations, primarily with BAME communities and attracting over 1500 people per day. The Trust also has delivered pan-London projects involving training and development in partnership with community groups and centres across multiple boroughs.

We provide supported housing for homeless people. The support provided includes befriending and advocacy; assistance with welfare benefits; help to access health services; help to access education and employment services; life skills training, such as managing your money and learning social and domestic skills; general advice and information.

We are a national charity who specialise in self-injury. We offer support services to women and girls through text, webchat, email and a telephone helpline. We provide information and self-help resources through our website and we provide training for professionals.

Sentencing Academy is a research and engagement charitable incorporated organisation dedicated to developing expert and public understanding of sentencing in England and Wales.

It encourages the Government to implement effective sentencing practices and informs public debate about sentencing, acting as a bridge between those with expert knowledge of sentencing, the public, and policy makers.

Our mission is to inform decision making and improve awareness and understanding of sentencing through evidence-led research working in collaboration with experts in the field.

SERICC provides specialist services to any individual who has or who is experiencing any form of sexual violence at any time in their life. You can also phone if you are worried about your child, someone else in your family, or someone you know.

If you ring us we can offer telephone counselling and 'one to one' counselling, emotional support and practical information, we will not tell you what to do or judge your actions.

SevenThreeOne is a non-profit organisation that uses the Creative Industries to further the education and skills of serving prisoners, ex-offenders and disengaged young people. One of the ways we do this is through the provision of training centres based within Prisons and the Community.

Severn Arts, a thriving charitable arts company formed in June 2018, brings high quality music and arts to a wide range of people across Worcestershire through innovative partnership working. We lead Worcestershire's Music Education Hub, deliver an arts programme on behalf of Worcestershire County Council, support the Local Cultural Education Partnership and deliver a three-year Festivals programme. Severn Arts is committed to offering new, inclusive arts activities that focus on widening access to the arts for all, with a particular emphasis on children and young people.

SEWREC is a former 'Race Equality Council' that now works across all of the 9 protected characteristics set out by the Equality Act and the Welsh language. Our aims are to 1).support people who have been discriminated against or abused because of who they are, 2). bring people from different backgrounds together and 3). challenge inequality of opportunity through personal and community development and through training programmes.

Shannon Trust is a national charity supporting people in the criminal justice system to learn to read, and improve other basic skills. Currently, 62% of people that end up in prison either can't read or struggle to. Shannon Trust inspires and trains prisoners who can read to teach prisoners who can’t, so they're better set up for a positive future. We also support people in prison with basic maths.

In the community, we work with partner organisations supporting people to learn to read in the same peer-led way.

Since September 2016, we have pioneered Shared Enterprise Clubs, a way of supporting marginalised people to unleash their entrepreneurial potential. The Clubs provide an inclusive and welcoming space for people to develop their entrepreneurial ambitions and inspire and learn from each other whilst developing confidence and skills such as creativity, adaptability, resilience, teamwork and social networks.

Shared Enterprise Clubs engage with people who are thinking however vaguely about starting a business. They are informal and flexible. They foster a peer-support and user-led approach. Although participants learn the basics about business, the main outcomes are confidence and the entrepreneurial skills which are essential skills not only for business but for everyday life. We currently run a Club at Huntercombe Prison. We also deliver stand alone enterprise workshops, challenges and tournaments, using enterprise games which we have developed with Club participants.

Shaw Trust was formed as a charity, in 1982, to ensure the most severely disabled people had employment opportunities outside sheltered workshops. Now we are one of the largest national third sector providers of welfare to work and social care programmes, having supported over 450,000 individuals towards independence. Our portfolio of provision includes a Work Programme prime contract as well as subcontracts in 6 Contract Package Areas, 17 Work Choice contracts to support people with severe health problems or disabilities into work, skills training contracts, and the management of 50 charity shops and social enterprises- which provide many disadvantaged individuals with their first stepping stone towards sustained employment or independence.
In 2012, Shaw Trust and Careers Development Group (CDG) announced a merger of the two organisations; this blend of two of the UK’s leading employment support charities will strengthen our service delivery, and open up new opportunities.

Sheffield Mind is a mental health charity offering a range of services that support mental wellbeing across all communities in Sheffield.

We have been delivering mental health services in the city for over 40 years. We're proud to have been able to source funding and work with partners to maintain provision of free services despite a changing landscape and much greater competition for available financial resources.

We work with adults over the age of eighteen and provide a range of services to address multiple and complex mental health needs.

We have previously worked under contract to a community rehabilitation company providing therapeutic services to custody leavers.

Founded 1992,SWWOP the only specialist project in Sheffield intensely supporting vulnerable women involved in street prostitution & other areas of ‘sex work’. We provide an outreach service to women in street prostitution (via a specially equipped van) which includes condom distribution, satellite needle exchange, ‘dodgy punter’ information & referral to our EXIT support work; follow-up assistance -practical, social & medical interventions e.g. STI screening; crisis interventions re drug treatment relapse, pregnancy, food parcels, homelessness, counselling & much more. We also provide in-reach to a local prison; and intensive support packages to clients wishing to exit street prostitution. We work with partner agencies to improve services for the women e.g. probation, the courts, Police, social services, Key Changes, Addaction, CSE & many other agencies needed by this vulnerable group.
SWWOP also provides information/presentations to other agencies,communities

Our service operates in 12 prisons across the North West region. We offer prisoners a specialist housing, finance and debt advice and advocacy service; we also offer prisoners training courses in budgeting, dealing with debt, and housing rights. Shelter offer free, confidential and independent advice and information to people with housing related problems. This includes services delivered under the MoJ's Dynamic Framework in Yorkshire and The Humber and East Midlands. Shelter deliver accommodation interventions to service users and expert advice and training to professionals, in order to support people subject to probation supervision to resettle in their communities.
