Time to Change (West Cumbria) Project CIC aims to help tackle homelessness in West Cumbria. The Project aims to provide 24 hour emergency accommodation based in West Cumbria. We recognise the rise in homelessness in West Cumbria particularly amongst our armed forces personnel. We therefore aim to prioritise British service Personnel experiencing difficulties re-intergrading into civilian life.
There is a 6 month maximum stay and residents are responsible for fundraising / cooking / cleaning and managing the project with support from staff and volunteers. The Project is completely 'dry' and staff will be on site 24/7. We only accept referrals from people from West Cumbria (local connection only). We aim to provide paid and unpaid employment opportunities through our various social enterprise schemes.
This Project will provide residents who are homeless with not only a “bed for the night” but the essential life skills needed to enter employment and become part of our local community.

Tomorrow’s Women is a Charity for all women aged 18+ to make positive lifestyle changes. Working with female offenders, and those on the periphery, it is committed to reducing offending in adult women.
An award winning charity, with a multi-agency approach they support women through targeted interventions to address underlying support areas for each woman.
Open Monday-Friday 9am - 3:30pm they work across Wirral and Cheshire West & Chester. TW have achieved outstanding outcomes with women into employment, recovery and away from (re)offending through service engagement, learning opportunities & addressing behaviours in an all-female safe community hub.
Tomorrow's Women hosts the National Probation Service & Merseyside Community Rehabilitation Company whose dedicated team of Offender Managers supervise all female offenders subject to Community Orders and Licensed Conditions.
Referrals can be made via professionals or women can self-refer.

Unlock Drama (UD) has over eight years’ experience working across the criminal justice system, delivering in more than 30 prisons with groups including sex offenders, young offenders, women vulnerable prisoners and foreign nationals.

Prisons we work within include: HMPYOI Swinfen Hall, HMYOI Brinsford and HMP Send etc.

UD utilises creative methods, which offers a unique tool that encourages teamwork, confidence, communication skills, motivation, organisation, listening skills, leadership, resilience and more. UD deliver creative projects closely linked to rehabilitation and focuses on addressing dominant concerns within the prison estate such as Engagement in activities, Substance Misuse and Debt.

UD also delivers issue-based theatre within the community working with participants such as: recovering drug addicts, homeless, young people at risk of offending and ex-offenders.

Our work is focused on developing ways for individuals to empower themselves to work through personal and sometimes painful issues, guided and supported by our trauma-informed team, following the trauma and recovery model.

We work hard to ensure that each person’s healing journey is driven by them and know, for many of us from first hand experience, that being in contact with other survivors is the key to being able to break the silence and take back the power and control that was felt to be lost during the trauma, and move towards a positive and healthy future.

Male survivors deserve the opportunity to heal and we 100% commit to doing everything we can to make it a reality.

Wellbeing in Action exist to remove and prevent harm to people's physical, mental, financial, social and community health and wellbeing, through practical solutions that enable people to live their best life. We especially focus on supporting women who have faced trauma, including abuse, and their families. We provide a range of befriending services, specialist trauma therapy facilities and use social action to distribute aid such as household items, clothing, baby equipment and provide support as people rebuild their lives. We work on the basis of a transaction of kindness where every person has a time they need to reach out for help, and all equally have times they can extend to others. Maintaining pride, dignity and being a member for life, rather than being "treated" or "fixed" is part of our ethos. Our motto is 'If we can, we do' and we roll our sleeves up to meet individual needs that make a difference.
