Survivors Manchester is a survivor-led organisation supporting men and boys (and those who identify or have been identified as male or non-binary) directly affected by sexual abuse, rape and sexual exploitation; along with those affected by the sexual abuse of the male in their life.
Our support, based on Herman's world renowned three stage model of 'trauma and recovery', enables individuals to access quality assured 1:1 and group therapeutic interventions, all with the aim of promoting a 'cope and recover' healing journey. We also deliver the UK's first Male specific Independent Sexual Violence Advisory service which supports victims/survivors from report, through the investigation process, to court and beyond. Our ISVA and Therapeutic offer are also available in a number of the male prison estate with our OUT Spoken Service.
Beyond service delivery, we work with health and justice stakeholders, from local authorities to government, to increase knowledge of male survivors.
