Bank Recovery Support Worker
We are looking for Bank Recovery Support Workers to join our Team based in Stroud.

The Bank Recovery Support Worker role provides cover for staff who support clients in residential to engage with the therapeutic program and to successfully complete treatment.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring our clients are supported to overcome any obstacles experienced during their recovery journey to ultimately enable them to complete treatment in a planned way, with maximised recovery capital.
We currently operate various shift patterns and we need Bank Recovery Support Workers to cover all shifts which include weekends and nights.
We offer on the job training but ideally you will have had experience of our client group and understand how a residential treatment setting works. A full clean driving license is essential for this role.

The Bank Recovery Support Worker role provides cover for staff who support to clients in residential to engage with the therapeutic program and to successfully complete treatment. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring our clients are supported to overcome any obstacles experienced during their recovery journey to ultimately enable them to complete treatment in a planned way, with maximised recovery capital.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Motivate clients to develop and achieve their own recovery capital through personal, social and community links, together with educational, training and employment opportunities.
Maintain accurate client records.
Administration of medication.
Deliver crisis interventions as relevant and as required.
Transport clients from treatment into resettlement accommodation.
Report any health and safety and safeguarding concerns to CQC & Compliance Manager.
Be a visible presence in the residential houses, treatment centre & the academy
Promote recovery concepts to clients, staff, and other professionals
To transport clients to appointments if required
Support clients on a practical level, e.g., assist with housing and financial claims
Challenge inappropriate behaviour and support clients to address behavioural issues.
Support clients to deal with difficult emotions appropriately.
To undertake additional duties as required or directed and which are necessary to meet NT developmental and change objectives
General Tasks
To be responsible for own safety and others affected by your activities and to ensure staff adherence to the Nelson Trust policies and procedures including Health & Safety Confidentiality, Equalities, and all other relevant policies.
Given high level of risk presented by this client group particular attention to be given to adult and child safeguarding ensuring sound knowledge of safeguarding issues, reporting and procedures
To represent residential services through attendance at all relevant internal and external meetings as and when directed or identified, which will include attendance at multiagency meetings.
Perform any other duties as may be reasonably expected from you as directed by line management.
To attend training and development sessions as relevant and as provided, developing own practice by maintaining and improving knowledge of relevant work practices.
To work across various Nelson Trust locations as required.
At all times act in a manner that upholds the good reputation of the Nelson Trust and accords with generally accepted professional conduct.
Follow agreed processes and protocols for storing transferring information and ensure confidentiality is maintained as the requirement of the Data Protection Act and General Data protection regulations (GDPR).
To put in place systems to ensure healthy working practices and that staff receive relevant information to fulfil their health and safety responsibilities.
