Custody Engagement and Diversion Keyworkers

As an engagement and diversion keyworker you will work within police custody providing early identification.

You will on the day support and engagement, triage and continuity of care, enabling Women and Young Adults to engage in wider community based support which addresses their individual needs. 

These needs may include housing, substance misuse, health, finance, previous trauma, children & families and education, training and employment with the aim of reducing social harms and re-offending whilst empowering women and Young Adults to access opportunities to reach their full potential. 

You will work across the service and extended community teams and partners  providing ‘flex’ support in the community where needed.

• 35 Hour Contract:
• Starting salary from £25,000pa

We are looking for a a number of full-time Custody Engagement and Diversion Keyworker to work within Police Custody Suites in the following areas:

Newport, Merthyr Tydfil, Ystrad Mynach, Bridgend and Swansea

These roles are restricted to female applicants only in accordance with the provisions of the occupational requirement (Equality Act 2010, pursuant to Schedule 9, Part 1).
