The Nelson Trust, in partnership with Turning Point, is dedicated to providing brief interventions and targeted programmes to women at risk and experiencing multiple and complex needs.
Our mission is to reduce exploitation and support women in achieving lasting positive change.
As a Group Facilitator, you will coordinate and contribute to the facilitation of interventions addressing abuse, trauma, substance use, and safety, as well as general wellbeing and holistic-based groups.
You will be responsible for the centre group timetable and work closely with keyworkers to ensure the timetable reflects the needs of the women and is adequately covered by facilitators.
Duration: Permanent
Hours: Part-time and full-time hours available
Pension: Auto Enrolment Pension in force (6% employer contribution)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide group interventions, practical advice, and support to women with substance misuse needs.
- Adopt a flexible, woman-centred, trauma-informed, strength-based approach.
- Support women in recognising choices and developing strengths to enhance their well-being and life opportunities.
- Undertake holistic needs assessments and provide information and advice on support services.
- Build confidence and self-esteem in women, enabling them to develop strategies for control, direction, and purpose in their lives.
- Provide advocacy and support engagement of women referred to the service.
- Work closely with core services to ensure women with multiple vulnerabilities can access programmes of activities.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience in managing the implementation and delivery of contractual requirements.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire team members.
- Experience working with women with multiple complex needs.
- Knowledge of issues facing vulnerable women, including domestic abuse, mental health, accommodation, substance misuse, and finance.
- Car driver with current licence and willingness to travel.
