The House of Lords Select Committee on Financial Exclusion
Clinks submitted a response to the House of Lords Financial Exclusion Committee highlighting that having contact with the criminal justice system exacerbates and contributes to peoples’ experiences of debt, poverty and financial exclusion. The response makes the following recommendations: the finance gap experienced by many prisoners on release is bridged; there is tailored support for families of people in contact with the CJS; and resettlement services are delivered at the earliest opportunity.
