Changing Lives help vulnerable, disadvantaged and excluded people to make lasting changes in their lives. We have a total acceptance policy and are innovative, progressive and courageous in our work. We work holistically, combining appropriate services and support for each individual. Our support ranges from emergency intervention to training and employment.

We provide housing support and complementary services to adult and young offenders, having developed specialist support services for MAPPA offenders, domestic violence perpetrators, PPOs, etc. to reduce reoffending. We provide peer mentors to work with offenders, and aim to provide employment opportunities for our customers within our services.

Inspire North was formed in October 2018 and is the parent company of two long-standing charities in Yorkshire and the North East - Foundation and Community Links. Together, we have over 30 years of experience supporting the most marginalised people in our communities. Foundation's original service offering was accommodation for ex-offenders. Today, our organisation has grown to encompass support for adults, young people and families through a diverse range of services that promote social inclusion: homelessness prevention; domestic abuse (victims and perpetrators); care leavers; multiple and complex needs. We continue to specialise in accommodation and support for ex-offenders; we have relationships with over 100 private sector landlords, are a registered social landlord, and have an established Social Lettings Agency - Foundation Living. Community Links are an award-winning mental health charity pioneering a wide range of life-changing health and wellbeing services across the North.

At Richmond Fellowship we have been championing recovery and social inclusion for more than 50 years and we are now one of the largest voluntary sector providers of mental health support across England. We work with more than 9,000 people every year across more than 120 localised services. These include specialist offender services and accommodation and community based services that enable individuals with forensic histories to change their lives. Our services ensure better mental health and wellbeing that leads to greater independence, self-awareness, confidence, self-worth, financial inclusion and positive participation in mainstream communities.

As a national charity, United Response supports people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and / or mental health needs and we have extensive experience at developing services which are person centred and designed around the needs of the each person we are supporting. We know that one size does not fit all and core to our support is treating each person as an individual and designing our support around them – not the other way round. We do not try to ‘fit’ people into services, we try to provide support that is person-centred.

We have particular expertise working with people with more complex and challenging needs. 80% of our services include people with complex, multiple requirements, including support to a number of people who were resettled within supported living from long stay hospitals, and whose behaviours present significant challenges to services.
