Join ClinksWe provide three main services:
One to one sessions to people who are interested in becoming self-employed, focusing on the practicalities of being self-employed (eg HMRC registration, tax thresholds, insurance etc). We then provide 12 months unlimited support during their first year of trading and complete their first Self-Assessment tax return for them as part of the service.
Tax refunds for prisoners when they first enter prison. Our model sees us train up a prisoner to assess all new receptions for eligibility for a tax refund and they then support them with completing a claim pack which is sent to us for processing. We are being supported by the Ministry of Justice and currently deliver this service in 32 prisons (and growing). We have reclaimed over £93k in tax refunds and eradicated over £20k in HMRC-related penalties.
Support for prisoners who have HMRC-related issues usually as a result of submitting their SA tax returns late or not at all.
