Open Stage CIC

Open Stage proactively works to engage with ex-offenders, people in recovery of addiction and those with mental health problems to encourage them to achieve their intellectual potential through creativity and education.
The intention behind Open Stage CIC is to give those who participate an opportunity to flex their creative muscle, discover the wonder of making theatre, realise the benefits of drama to their personal development and raise the possibility of progressing into Further/Higher education.
Open Stage CIC strives to create issue-based theatre to highlight the problems faced by those involved, to give a voice to their journey of recovery. Although Open Stage CIC is first and foremost an Issue Based Theatre Company it aims to entertain its audiences with a unique approach to theatre. Through using writers and actors new to the world of theatre but experienced in the issues broached Open Stage CIC delivers an authenticity that adds a distinctive gravitas to its productions.
