Join ClinksStreet Soccer Academy is a professional service provider that specialises in the rehabilitation and reintegration of vulnerable and ‘at-risk’ individuals into communities. We work on behalf of some of the nation’s hardest to reach groups within our communities. Our custody to community model is in operation in HMP Forest Bank and has proven to be very successful over the three-year period we have operated in partnership with them. Street Soccer Academy offers two main streams of service delivery – a football based coach education programme and health and fitness programme. Our community based regional centres provide the opportunity to continue engaging with the participants once released and to develop their roles in society. With 80 men a year having completed our internal programmes, more than 90% choose to engage with us in community and we have an associated reoffending rate of just 8%.

Supporting information
The football based model has proved effective as the results show but we are keen to engage with a broader range of 'at-risk' individuals and have therefore developed a sustainable fitness programme, 'StreetFit'. We have been contracted by HMP Forest Bank to deliver this model as a form of family intervention. It will be based in the visitation centre and involve practical and theory sessions and will include family members too. During holidays children will be invited to partake in the practical sessions delivered by the inmates as they demonstrate their learning and development. Family members will be mentored in community as will the inmate and they will both receive our 'wrap-around' support package. Once the inmate has completed the programme he/she will be empowered to use their knowledge in a community setting and in their own family environment as they continue their personal fitness regime regardless of cash restraints and living situations.
