Join ClinksKhulisa delivers unique and powerful behaviour-change intervention programmes addressing violence and the crime cycle. Khulisa starts the process of rehabilitation through the innovative use of therapeutic methods and creative, participant-led techniques. The language and theory of violence are used to draw a link between violence/abuse/conflict and offending behaviour, and develop the notion that no crime is victimless. Khulisa also runs Milestones, an innovative through-the-gate mentoring programme for young men leaving custody.

5 assessments, including a published article in the Journal of Offender Rehabilitation, by major academic institutions, show our approach has a statistically significant positive impact on offending behaviour and rehabilitative factors with reductions of up to 40% for violent and aggressive tendencies and improvements in participant coping mechanisms by up to 37%.
In 2012 NOMS approved Silence the Violence under its PSO4350 “Effective Regime Intervention criteria”.
Khulisa’s Milestones mentoring programme was recognised with a prestigious Butler Trust Commendation in 2011 for its 10 year development while a study conducted by Nacro in 2010 showed that project graduates had a short-term re-offending rate of just 14%.
