Supporting information
We have a long history of working with both the Probation Service and HMPS. We are well connected and linked in across Devon and Cornwall and Dorset Probation Trusts as well as having extensive links to HMPS both at Area Office level and more widely.
We deliver a range of specialist services including mentoring, offender supervision utilising 'incase' our staff hold their own caseloads. We also provide a deposit guarantee scheme for offenders looking for accommodation in the private sector as well as an accommodation finding service. We have three members of staff dedicated to this work.
A recent longitudinal study of our services by a Probation Trust's statistics and analysis department showed that recidivisim rates were 'significantly' lower for offenders that we worked with when compared to a similar cohort of offenders supervised by Probation Staff.
