Supporting information
Fry Housing Trust has been supporting offenders, ex-offenders and those who are homeless and at risk of offending since 1959. It has grow out of a single project in Birmingham, to now have over 200 bedspeaces and capacity to support over 100 clients in the community across 6 Local Authority and 3 Probation Trust areas. We operate a 'no exclusion' policy - instead, all referrals are risk assessed and will be accepted provided we can offer the right support to meet their needs and the environments we have available at the time maintain or reduce the identified risk levels. Our housing projects are a mix of 24 hour and 9-5 coverage and are delivered from a range of housing stock (1 bed houses to 20 bed hostels). Our community based services are geared to cater for high risk offenders (e.g. MAPPA). Fry Housing Trust also delivers specific services for female offenders, undertakes in-reach ressetlement work and has a dedicated ETE Advisor to work with clients to gain access to employment.
