Join ClinksBehind the Curtain (BTC) CIC is a Community Interest Company dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive space for the LGBTQ+ community. We focus on emotional well being, personal growth, and fostering meaningful connections. Our services include one to one coaching, group wellness sessions, and Accountability coaching that offer individuals the opportunity to explore their identity, heal from past trauma, and build resilience.
Through our Inside Out Program, we support LGBTQ+ prisoners by providing Accountability coaching and wellness activities to help them focus on . Additionally, we host creative and educational workshops encouraging self care, personal expression, and community building. At BTC, we are committed to empowering individuals to lead healthier, happier lives while creating strong, supportive connections with others.

In our first year, we provided one to one support and hosted monthly wellness retreats and social activities that focused on mental health, self acceptance, and overcoming trauma. Our services reached 76 beneficiaries, including individuals dealing with isolation, mental health struggles, and past trauma.
Key outcomes include:
92% of clients reported a reduction in anxiety and depression.
98% of clients experienced increased self worth and confidence.
94% of clients felt less isolated after participating in our group sessions.
We have created safe spaces that foster healing and community, where LGBTQ+ individuals can explore their feelings without fear of judgment. Through our work, BTC has built a peer support network, enabling participants to form lasting friendships. We have carried out taster sessions in Durham Prison, offering support to LGBTQ+ individuals on remand, further expanding our reach and impact.
