Now utilising a range of solution-focused approaches, we bring people together to enable them to problem-solve, make decisions and choose what actions to take to move forward, be safe, and thrive.
People and communities often feel disempowered - especially those whose lives are influenced by the systems around them. However, we know that people can take action and choose what action to take when given the right opportunity.
We work alongside partnering organisations and within the community to create opportunities for people to communicate, work together and create plans that when implemented, will enable them to move forward, be safe and thrive.
Throughout our programs, our work relies on the principles of voluntary participation, transparency and openness for all, advocacy for those who need it, and for our work to be facilitative, not prescriptive.

Supporting information
Daybreak's work has been predominantly in the field of Children's Social Care working with families facing a wide range of challenges, including family members involved in the criminal justice system. Whilst the majority of our current work has children at the centre of the FGC we also facilitate adult FGCs.
Our Family Group Conference model is an ideal solution that can complement and enhance the work that other organisations are doing. We can and do cater for any issue, challenge or family; if there is an issue where a support network and a plan can assist, then a Family Group Conference is an ideal approach.
We deliver training in Family Group Conferencing and other bespoke training based in trauma informed and restorative practice.
