Deadline approaching for Independent Review of the Prison System

The deadline to respond to the Independent Review of the Prison System’s call for evidence is approaching, with submissions closing at [23:59 on 31 August]

The call for evidence is seeking views on the biggest risks facing the prison system and the main opportunities to address these risks and improve outcomes. Looking ahead over the next 5 to 15 years, the Review will consider what is needed to secure the long-term sustainability and resilience of the prison system.

The Review particularly welcomes responses from organisations and individuals with an interest or expertise in the prison system. We encourage Clinks members to submit their own evidence, drawing on frontline experience, service user insight and data to highlight both the challenges facing the system and examples of effective practice.

Clinks will also be coordinating opportunities for collective engagement and preparing a shared submission to help amplify the voice of the voluntary sector.
