State of the Sector 2024 research is underway
Express your interest to join a focus group
Hello!
Hope you are keeping well.
We have begun our research for the 2024 State of the Sector report, and this year we are looking to go more in depth than ever!
We will be holding a series of in-person and virtual focus groups and (as necessary) smaller interviews in November. These will be led by an independent facilitator from the National Council of Voluntary Organisations (NCVO). We have dates set for in-person focus groups on 15 November – Manchester, and 19 and 21 November – London. We can facilitate more dates at more locations and also host online groups depending on demand and preferences.
Make your voice heard
Racially minoritised led by and for organisations are currently underrepresented in our list of organisations that have so far declared an interest in this year’s research. We would love to connect with you and/or someone from your organisation, to speak about your experiences and perspectives of the last five years.
Your participation will help us to strengthen the voice of specialist organisations providing services designed specifically for racially minoritised people in the criminal justice system. We understand that racially minoritised people encounter unique barriers and these are often unrecognised within the criminal justice system and voluntary sector. Your voice will help to structure work with key partners across the sector and help us to advocate for the smaller specialist organisations that we support within the race and justice network. The focus groups’ input will contribute to our State of the Sector 2024 report; highlighting the changes and challenges the voluntary sector, and its service users, are experiencing and how organisations are adapting.
Read our blog: State of the Sector 2024 research: Make your voice heard to find out more about this year’s fresh approach to the research and why your input is so important.
The focus groups will also include an opportunity to connect with other organisations working in the criminal justice field and we will be providing lunch for everyone who attends. We also have several free tickets for the Clinks annual conference in December - for small organisations with an income of under £100,000, which will be made available on a lottery system.
