Dear Clinks member,
Our 2024 State of the Sector research is underway. As a Clinks member we invite you to participate in this year’s vital research. This is an opportunity to make your voice heard by key decision makers, help us influence policy and practice on your behalf and tell us your needs so that our support can help meet them.
Alongside National Council of Voluntary Organisations (NCVO), we are holding focus groups across England and Wales to understand how the work, needs and vison of voluntary organisations working across the criminal justice sector have been shaped and changed by the last few years.
We are eager to speak with organisations from across the sector to enable us to connect with the broadest possible range of organisations and experience. We want to hear from you! Whether a small community group, regionally focussed hub, or national organisation. All voices are welcome; from the broad issue-based organisations to the organisations focussed on unique and specific experiences.
We are keen for the experiences of small organisations to be highlighted through our research. If you represent a small organisation, please do not miss this opportunity to have the issues that matter to you vocalised and represented.
Year on year our research has shown the strengths of the voluntary sector. Despite having to deliver in often challenging environments with limited resources, the voluntary sector is resilient, innovative and remains committed to delivering high quality, diverse services to meet rising demand. At Clinks, we are proud to support and represent such an inspirational, diverse and committed sector that makes a real difference to people’s lives.
Make your voice heard
Your participation provides highly respected evidence about the sector from which we are able to influence policy and decisions that affect you, and ensure our support meets your needs. The focus groups’ input will contribute to our State of the Sector 2024 report, which is given to key policy decision makers and provides a vital source of evidence for a range of stakeholders.

How do I take part?
To register your interest to join a focus group, simply click the link below or scan the QR code to complete a two-minute survey. The NCVO team will get in touch with you to register your preferences and coordinate with you. We have dates set for in-person groups on 15 November – Sheffield, and 19 and 21 November – London. We can facilitate more dates at more locations and also host online groups depending on demand and preferences.
