CLINKS NEWS: Apply for the RR3 Wales seat
We have extended the deadline for applications until [Tuesday 27 August] for a senior leader from the voluntary sector with expertise on the criminal justice system in Wales to take up the the Wales seat on the RR3! The main purpose of the RR3 is to build a stronger and more effective partnership between the voluntary sector and the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) and His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Services (HMPPS). Successful candidates must have expertise and knowledge of delivering services to people in contact with the CJS in Wales. Find out more and apply here.
NATIONAL CRIMINAL JUSTICE ARTS ALLIANCE NEWS: a writing development programme
The National Criminal Justice Arts Alliance and the Royal Literary Fund are partnered for a third year, continuing to deliver a capacity-building writing development programme. The program is for individuals and organisations working in the criminal justice system. Digital workshops are free and will be held throughout 2024/25, teaching vital writing skills, to our thematic networks.
Workshops will cover the writing of reports, case studies, and funding applications. The sessions will also cover general editing practices including proofreading, complaints, and reflective practice. You do not need to attend all of the sessions as the workshops are designed to focus on specific subjects. Follow this link

The University College London (UCL) Centre for Education and Criminal Justice (ECJ), are holding a conference on Building Hope: The Future of Education in the Criminal Justice System [20 September, 10:00 to 16:00, at UCL].
The conference will focus on three themes: Digital Provision, Neurodiversity and Embedding Literacy, Numeracy and Information and Communication Technology (ICT). This conference welcomes people with lived experience, charity leaders, local authorities, education providers, prison educators, HMPPS staff, academics, policy representatives and practitioners to come together to network and collaborate in the advancement of education provision for people in criminal justice settings.
