Understanding the needs and experiences of pregnant women and recent mothers in the community
11:00am-12:30pm, 27th May | online | free
Join Birth Companions and Clinks to explore the key findings of our collaborative report on the needs and experiences of pregnant women and recent mothers in the community, who are in contact with the criminal justice system.
The report aims to ensure that statutory health and justice as well as voluntary sector services are meeting the needs of women and their children in the best way possible. It is informed by surveys that we conducted with professionals in the voluntary sector and specialist midwives, as well as interviews with women with lived experience and the voluntary sector organisations that work with them.
This event will look at the report's key findings, discuss the recommendations, and provide a space to come together to reflect on the role of both the voluntary and statutory sectors in improving experiences and outcomes for pregnant women and recent mothers in the community.
