NCJAA annual meeting 2020
23rd June | online | free
The National Criminal Justice Arts Alliance (NCJAA) is pleased to invite you to our annual meeting 2020. On the three month anniversary of the day the UK went into lockdown, we will be asking: What does the arts in criminal justice sector need to survive and thrive through Covid-19 and beyond? We will be reflecting on the impact of the crisis, race inequality and ongoing challenges for the sector as lockdown begins to ease. We will also be celebrating the resilience and innovation that has characterised the sector’s response so far.
We are excited to be joined by representatives from Arts Council England and the Ministry of Justice/Her Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service, as well as Andrea Hadley-Johnson, Artistic Programme Manager, and Dr Martin Glynn, Writer in Residence at the National Justice Museum, who will speak about the museum’s Constraint Restraint exhibition, and their ‘Letters of Constraint’ project, developed in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
We will also be thanking the members of our Steering Group who step down this year, and welcoming six newly elected members to the Steering Group.
