Clinks is hosting this event in partnership with NOMS and the Ministry of Justice. The event will discuss a new grants programme for voluntary sector organisations working in the six early adopter reform prisons.
Over a number of years, NOMS and the Ministry of Justice have provided a grants programme for voluntary sector organisations, including charities and social enterprises, working to reduce reoffending. They will shortly be advertising and inviting applications for a one-off grant from 2016 – 2017 to support the prison reform agenda. The grant is only available for activity taking place in the six early adopter reform prisons, all of which are adult male prisons. Activity may be limited to one prison or cover multiple sites. These prisons in scope are:
- HMP Coldingley
- HMP Highdown
- HMP Holme House
- HMP Kirlevington Grange
- HMO Ranby
- HMP Wandsworth
The total value of this grant fund is £1.7m. The minimum grant for an individual organisation is £30,000 and the maximum is £150,000. The programme is expected to begin 30 September 2016. The evaluation, outcome, toolkit etc. are expected latest 30 September 2017.
This event is also running in London.
