Join us for a performance of Catch by this ground-breaking theatre company who have been touring this type of work for the past decade to great acclaim.
The play follows the lives of three women, Christina, Susan and Rachel, each trying to turn her life around, and seeking support at a women’s centre. They have all come to the centre for different reasons: domestic violence, addiction, unsafe housing, and entanglement with the criminal justice system. The play sees them face multiple challenges and explores whether re-entry into the criminal justice system is inevitable.
This short play was developed with and is performed by women with experience or on the fringes of the criminal justice system. It will be followed by 50-minute workshop/discussion to explore in more detail the issues raised by the play.
Clean Break are a theatre company started by two women in prison over 40 years ago. They run trauma-informed theatre programmes for women in the community and in prison and produce ground-breaking work about the often-untold stories of women and criminalisation.
Please refer to our self-care pack. It contains some further information about the work, content warnings and signposting to relevant support organisations.

Terms and conditions
COVID-19
The symptoms of COVID-19 and other respiratory infections are very similar. It is not possible to tell if you have COVID-19, flu or another respiratory infection based on symptoms alone. Most people with COVID-19 and other respiratory infections will have a relatively mild illness, especially if they have been vaccinated.
If you have symptoms of a respiratory infection, such as COVID-19, and you have a high temperature or you do not feel well enough to attend the conference, government health guidance is to try to stay at home and avoid contact with other people. We would encourage anybody who has tested positive or has symptoms for COVID-19 to consider sending a substitute delegate from their organisation in their place, and if this is not possible to email us at events@clinks.org to inform us of non-attendance.
