Appropriate Adult Consultation

Are you a voluntary organisation or stakeholder involved with Appropriate Adult provision in London?

Clinks is co-hosting an online event with The Mayor’s Officer for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) to consult with the sector on the Appropriate Adult scheme.

It is an opportunity for voluntary organisations and stakeholders to:

• provide feedback on the current Appropriate Adult scheme in London
• discuss why the role of Appropriate Adult is so important
• consider which type of Appropriate Adult offers the best support to detainees – family/friends; professionals including TAAS and social workers; or volunteers
• share ideas on how Appropriate Adults could better support vulnerable adults and child detainees in custody and what resources are needed to achieve this
