Join us for an information session with Mignon French, Programme Manager for the Health and Justice Non-Custodial Team, NHS England & NHS Improvement, where she will discuss Mental Health Treatment Requirements (MHTR) and how best the voluntary sector can work with and utilise these services.
MHTR’s are one of three possible treatment requirements which may be part of a community order.
The overall programme aims to reduce reoffending and divert people from short-term custodial sentences by addressing the mental health needs of the person in contact with the criminal justice system through treatment requirements that are undertaken in the community. The programme has been found to be largely successful in reducing reoffending and has been expanded by the government with an aim to achieve 50% coverage of mental health provision by 2023/24.
Please note this event is for voluntary sector organisations only.
