Clinks is hosting a webinar for people to understand more about the RECONNECT: care after custody service.
RECONNECT is an NHS England and NHS Improvement service that starts working with people before they leave prison, where they have access to a RECONNECT worker, and helps them to make the transition to community-based services that provide the health and care support that they need.
At this event, we will be hearing from Kate Morrissey, who works on NHS England and NHS Improvement's Health and Justice team as the National Implementation Lead for RECONNECT, as well Revolving Doors Agency’s Lived Experience team who were key to the design and development of RECONNECT. We will also be hearing from a RECONNECT provider about the impact of their service on people with lived experience of the criminal justice system.
There will be an opportunity for all participants to ask questions and see how the RECONNECT service fits in with their work, how the RECONNECT service is continuing to develop, and how the people they work with might benefit from the service.

This event will be conducted through Zoom, an online meeting platform. As security and privacy is important to us, we’re adapting our procedures in line with the latest security guidance from Zoom. We have:
- Implemented the latest security functions as standard, including requiring registration, passwords and waiting rooms.
- Made sure all delegates login and book through the Clinks website, so everyone identifies themselves.
- Ask delegates to follow housekeeping rules. Any unwanted behaviour will result in delegates being removed from meetings.
