Change for Good
Change for Good is a resettlement charity based in London. We currently have mentoring programmes based in HMP Wandsworth, HMP Wormwood Scrubs, HMP Brixton and HMP Ford that match guys with a trained volunteer who gets to know them in prison, meets them at the gate and supports them as they resettle back into society.
In the community we have our Next Chapter project, which is a group that meets weekly. It is for men who want to stay out of prison and keep out. The group is run by the men themselves who become positive influences on each other provide mutual support. There is a monthly activity such as a visit to a museum, or a boat trip. The men take it in turns to cook healthy meals and the venue is located in central London.
The group aims to reduce isolation and to be a strong community for the men to belong to. The group is dynamic and the agenda is set by the men themselves. The only criteria is that you have spent time in custody and are serious about wanting change.
