Volunteer Centre Swindon's primary function is to match individuals and groups interested in volunteering with appropriate opportunities in the local community. For volunteers we provide: one-to-one advice and guidance at our drop-in centre, referral to an appropriate organisation, support and encouragement, followup and monitoring, and easy access to a variety of volunteering opportunities. For organisations we provide: the promotion of volunteering as an enjoyable activity which benefits both the volunteer and the community, the advertisement of specific opportunities on behalf of local groups, active recruitment of potential volunteers for local groups, development of good practice in all aspects of working with volunteers, organisation of a regular Volunteer Co-ordinators' Forum, and updates on any policy issues that may affect the organisation or its volunteers.

We can help people from the following groups who live or work in Tower Hamlets to find volunteering opportunities with one of over 450 local community organisations within the borough. We do this by offering 1-1 appointments for the person to talk about their aspirations and match them to a suitable volunteering opportunity. We help with application forms and interviews and then provide ongoing support once they have started volunteering.

The people/ groups we support are as follows:
- with a history of offending
- who are long-term unemployed (over 1 year)
- with mental health problems
- with chronic health conditions or physical disabilities
- with learning disabilities
- ESOL learners or new migrants (especially those recently arrived in the UK)
- who are or have been recently homeless
- recovering from drug or alcohol addiction
- escaping domestic violence

We are an arts and community organisation working within criminal justice, to spark fresh conversations and insights so that our responses to crime, harm and conflict might build or rebuild connections, trust and belonging rather than further divisions.

Established in 2013, we run creative projects in prison and in the wider community with people who have committed crimes, people who have been victims of crime, those who have family experience of crime and justice processes and those who work in this area.

Underpinning all the above, we are building a messy creative community made up of many of the diverse people involved. And we are learning a lot together in the process!

Wai Yin has been providing service to the Chinese community in the North West since 1988; however, our service covers both Chinese and other communities. We set out to tackle the challenges from culture and language differences and help ethnic minority communities to settle better into British society.

Provides supported accommodation, training, volunteering and employment opportunities for thoses leaving prison. Also provides training courses for volunteer mentors who support ex-offenders with their transition from prison into a local community.

The Wallich delivers innovative solutions to homelessness as diverse as the needs of the people we help. The Wallich has a team of just under 250 employees who work alongside a growing team of volunteers to support hundreds of people a day in over 50 projects across Wales. Our work falls into four areas: 1. Residential supported housing projects, including direct access hostels, emergency night shelters and accommodation for people with specific issues such as substance misuse. 2. Floating (Tenancy) support projects in which we support people who have tenancy difficulties, sometimes with a contributing health or other need. 3. Prevention or intervention projects, which are a broad range of services that prevent homelessness or make life better for homeless people. 4. Development and Involvement services, which enhance support through providing opportunities in the community to gain transferable skills and influence service provision.

Wandsworth Citizens Advice Bureaux is an independent charity that provides information, advice and support needed by local people to enable them to manage their affairs and live independent and resilient lives. We also work to improve the policies and practices that affect people's lives.
We offer general advice on welfare benefits, money/debt, housing, employment, consumer, immigration and nationality, family and personal matters, taxes, health and education, plus advice on discrimination across all these subjects. We also provide self-help information services and resources and work to increase the capability of local people to avoid and prevent problems like debt. WCABx also offers a range of volunteering opportunities, backed by excellent and recognised training.

The cores values of the charity are addressing stigma and improving the lives of people affected by homelessness itself or at risk of homelessness. The charity fills important gaps in local statutory, agency and charity services along with an understanding that is used widely across many client groups including ex offenders. The charity offers open-hearted, compassionate services delivered by outreach teams , drop in sessions and our Hastings Homeless Support Centre. We offer further wrap around support to many the many aspects of homelessness. We are mindful the average life expectancy of a homeless man is 45.9 years and 41.6 years for a homeless woman.
Our Inclusive Volunteering Programme is open to ex offenders who want to gain work experience and achieve a reference for future employment.

Warrington Voluntary Action supports the development of a vibrant, thriving and sustainable third sector to meet the diverse and changing needs of local communities.

To do this we:

Provide information, guidance and resources enabling local voluntary, community and faith organisations to deliver effective quality services.
Promote, support and develop volunteering for individuals and local communities to make a positive difference.

We are a horticultural social enterprise using horticulture as a therapeutic tool, helping volunteers regain their confidence and learn new horticultural and life skills. Volunteers also come from the community at large, and we provide a friendly supportive environment where people can make friendships and community links.

Supporting those in the criminal justice system and their families, and preventing and diverting young people and adults at risk of entering the CJS. We provide advice, guidance, advocacy, mentoring and cognitive behavioural therapy. Our trauma-informed service addresses conflict, violence and the destructive coping strategies young people and adults employ to protect themselves from emotional, mental and physical pain. Way4ward provides specialist high intervention coach mentoring and inspirational workshops to improve mindfulness, distress tolerance, deescalating irrational emotions, overcoming barriers to healthy emotions, and coping with resistance and conflict.

Our work is focused on developing ways for individuals to empower themselves to work through personal and sometimes painful issues, guided and supported by our trauma-informed team, following the trauma and recovery model.

We Are With You was originally founded in 1967 as a parents' self-help group called the Association for the Prevention of Addiction (APA). APA became a Registered Charity and Private Company Limited by guarantee on 06 February 1991. In 1997, APA was re-branded and re-launched as Addaction and then further re-branded as We Are With You.

The charity provides substance misuse treatment recovery services to adults, young people and their families. We manage over 120 services across the UK, employing over 1200 staff and providing services to 30,000 persons per year.

A registered local charity providing mental health support and wellbeing services within in women only space, to women aged 16 years and above living in the Wakefield District. These include: Counselling and trauma focused therapy, support services for women with multiple and complex needs, self-development and wellbeing groups, issue specific courses, Complementary therapies, volunteering and peer support opportunities.
Well Women Centre Restore Project, works with both statutory and non-statutory women who are involved with the criminal justice system or who are at risk of offending. Offering tailored packages of support, to provide a holistic non-medical approach to women’s health and well-being, with the emphasis on supporting and empowering women. The Restore Project won the Howard League for Penal Reform communities award in 2018 for their work with women in the criminal justice system.

Wellbeing in Action exist to remove and prevent harm to people's physical, mental, financial, social and community health and wellbeing, through practical solutions that enable people to live their best life. We especially focus on supporting women who have faced trauma, including abuse, and their families. We provide a range of befriending services, specialist trauma therapy facilities and use social action to distribute aid such as household items, clothing, baby equipment and provide support as people rebuild their lives. We work on the basis of a transaction of kindness where every person has a time they need to reach out for help, and all equally have times they can extend to others. Maintaining pride, dignity and being a member for life, rather than being "treated" or "fixed" is part of our ethos. Our motto is 'If we can, we do' and we roll our sleeves up to meet individual needs that make a difference.

West End Women and Girls Centre is a youth and community centre for women and girls in the west end of Newcastle. We aim to empower women and girls who have been traditionally disenfranchised from access to existing services, to effect positive change in their leisure, work and social environments. We do this by providing group work where women and girls can meet, have fun, learn new skills and look at issues relevant to their lives, building confidence in a safe and supportive environment. Individual support is also provided offering information, advice and advocacy.

West End Women and Girls Centre facilitate Women's Hubs, Provide domestic abuse services and also manage the community pay back scheme in the Centre.

We provide a range of interventions and services for those affected by substance misuse, from needle exchange to harm minimisation and 12-Step abstinence approaches. Enhancing these interventions are diversionary activities projects. We also deliver CARAT services in the Welsh public prison estate.

We work with a wide variety of clients including ex-offenders. We have an open door policy and aim to see anyone one who wants assistance. We believe that if we can't help ourselves then we can find someone who can.

We are a domestic abuse organisation with safe refuges and we do group work and ongoing support re developing non abusive relationships.
