We provide support to ex offenders and their families, also in partnership with others building a network of churches across Wales working with those affected by prison. Also providing and supporting self help groups to become economically active. Working with local churches we provide spiritual support and find local churches for people to attend. For 40 years Victim Support has provided victims and witnesses with practical help and emotional support they need, giving free and confidential help to over half a million victims a year across England and Wales. We assess who needs support and use our trained staff and volunteers to help people cope and recover. We also run a national supportline, national homicide service, help people at court through our Witness Service and campaign to get a better deal for people affected by crime. Our local work ensures we remain highly responsive to the needs of local victims and is backed up by the strength and safeguards of a national organisation. We also run specialist services for particular types of crime with money we raise through fundraising, local grants or contracts. This includes bespoke local services for victims of domestic violence, hate crime and antisocial behaviour as well as young victims and witnesses and people who want to take part in restorative justice.

For thirty years we have provided specialist Housing Support for men and women on release from HMP. We also support people with substance misuse issues from a holistic approach to recovery and re-offending reduction. The Wallich delivers innovative solutions to homelessness as diverse as the needs of the people we help. The Wallich has a team of just under 250 employees who work alongside a growing team of volunteers to support hundreds of people a day in over 50 projects across Wales. Our work falls into four areas: 1. Residential supported housing projects, including direct access hostels, emergency night shelters and accommodation for people with specific issues such as substance misuse. 2. Floating (Tenancy) support projects in which we support people who have tenancy difficulties, sometimes with a contributing health or other need. 3. Prevention or intervention projects, which are a broad range of services that prevent homelessness or make life better for homeless people. 4. Development and Involvement services, which enhance support through providing opportunities in the community to gain transferable skills and influence service provision.

We provide a range of interventions and services for those affected by substance misuse, from needle exchange to harm minimisation and 12-Step abstinence approaches. Enhancing these interventions are diversionary activities projects. We also deliver CARAT services in the Welsh public prison estate.

We are a domestic abuse organisation with safe refuges and we do group work and ongoing support re developing non abusive relationships.

Why me? are a national charity which campaigns for and delivers Restorative Justice.
Restorative Justice empowers people affected by crime and other harmful behaviour to communicate with the person responsible, through a face to face meeting where appropriate, or indirect methods such as video shuttle or letter writing if preferable. This is facilitated by trained professionals who speak to both parties in advance to prepare them for the meeting. Restorative Justice can be used to address any type of crime, as long as both parties consent, and the facilitators agree that it is safe to do so. It does not have to be a substitute for other measures, and can take place while people are serving time in prison.

Restorative Justice gives people who have been harmed the chance to talk about the impact of the incident and seek answers about why it happened. Victims of crime often feel excluded, confused and revictimized by the criminal justice process. Restorative Justice brings them back to

Word on the Kerb C.I.C. is a Community Interest Company focused on bringing the arts to marginalised communities. The organisation serves individuals affected by the criminal justice system, homelessness, addiction, and poverty, using theatre, storytelling, and workshops to inspire change.

Its flagship solo show, Something to Take Off the Edge, explores life in prison, addressing themes of friendship, addiction, literacy, and mental health. The show is performed in prisons, hostels, and community centres, often followed by Q&A sessions and creative writing workshops.

The organisation also runs spoken word performances and workshops, empowering participants to build confidence, develop skills, and express themselves.

Future plans include expanding tours and enhancing workshops.

We have an integrated EETEA model for reducing reoffending and reintegration of prisoners on release.

Engagement: We have been working in prisons as a prisoner led initiative since 2015 providing information on sentence planning and progression.

Education and Training: Our Academy provides fully funded soft skills critical thinking and personal development courses, as well as vocational NVQs, and apprenticeships to serving prisoners and prison leavers.

Employment: We offer a careers service for serving prisoners nearing end of sentence and prison leavers. Prisoners who enter our Pathways Programme receive a guaranteed offer of employment on release with one of our sponsoring employers.

Accommodation: We aim to ensure those on our Pathways Programme are financially supported into accommodation.

Mentoring: We provide 12 months post-release mentoring for Pathways graduates those who need it.

Coaching: We provide coaching to sponsoring employers staff on reintegration support needs.

We aim to be a voice for prisoners suffering discrimination and to advocate for reforms within the wider Criminal Justice System to meet the spirit and practice of human rights legislation.
