Child Action Northwest has developed a range of dynamic projects and services to protect, support and empower children, young people, families and communities.

CleanStart is a Social Enterprise set up by Trafford Housing Trust to clear and clean its empty properties. The Trust employs ex-offenders from the community to carry out this work. Cleanstart offer a full clean and clear property and environmental service, to include empty property clearance, garden clearance, the cleaning up of 'grot spots', and house removal work. All staff have up to date CSCS cards to work on building site environments.

We provide housing support and complementary services to adult and young offenders, having developed specialist support services for MAPPA offenders, domestic violence perpetrators, PPOs, etc. to reduce reoffending. We provide peer mentors to work with offenders, and aim to provide employment opportunities for our customers within our services.

What is ISW Services?

ISW Services CIC is a non-profit organisation providing support services, advocacy and guidance. Here at ISW Services CIC, we run an independent, confidential support service which is catered to the individual needs of the client. Our support workers have several years of experience and qualifications relating to relevant support.

MAV was established in 1999 to support victims of gun and gang violence. It does this through a wide range of activities including; education; counselling; advice, information, support; partnership working; campaigning.

Since 2003 we have worked within prisons, enabling prisoners to hear from the victims of crime as part of their rehabilitation, and of the impact of murder on families and friends. We also provide a letter writing service, workshops and support for the prisons therapeutic community. We have delivered the Business Development Educational Training Programme since June 2012. Funded by the Allen Lane Foundation and Greater Manchester Probation the programme has supported over 45 people to date (offenders who are preparing to leave custody, and those who have already left), preparing them for work and to set up their own business.
