What We Do
We deliver tailored programmes and services designed to help individuals take positive steps forward: Our approach is rooted in the belief that employment, training, and mentoring are powerful tools for reducing reoffending, improving wellbeing, and building safer communities.
• Employment Support – CV building, job applications, interview preparation, and access to employers open to giving second chances.
• Skills Training – Accredited training, industry-specific skills, and personal development workshops to boost employability.
• Mentoring & Coaching – One-to-one support from experienced mentors who understand the challenges and can guide participants toward their goals.
• Employer Partnerships – Helping businesses recruit motivated candidates, while providing advice on inclusive hiring practices.
• Community Reintegration Support – Practical help with housing, benefits, and wellbeing, to ensure sustainable outcomes.
• We are dedicated to engaging young people aged 13–25

Based in Bournemouth, Hope provides housing, training and support for single homeless individuals aged between 18 to 65. It is our ultimate aim to enable clients to move forward into independent living through addressing their needs which include: substance misuse, crime, poverty, mild mental health and unemployment. We currently house 60 vulnerable people (c. 150 per year).
Clients have access to 1:1 support and group therapy sessions delivered by our trained counselling and support workers who do a fantastic job in helping them overcome the many personal issues they face. We also help our residents with budgeting skills, applying for funds, claiming benefits that they are entitled to as well as other ad hoc issues that are unique to the individual such as reuniting families. We have recently set up a gym to increase health and fitness as well as purchasing a mini bus to provide clients with access to and benefit from the wider local community. We also utilise signposting agencies.

Our homelessness programme houses single, non-priority clients in private rented accommodation. We provide a volunteer mentoring programme for newly-housed people. We also provide a six-month quasi-residential drug and alcohol rehab programme for men, based on '12 steps' with therapeutic intervention. Post Graduation third stage supported housing options are also available for up to a further 24 months.

We provide work-based services and assessments for prisoners, as well as information and guidance on issues such as employment, training and support to help rebuild relationships with family or friends.

We work to provide a range of housing and support services to people disadvantaged by housing circumstance or social need, in a manner that promotes self-esteem, respect and independence.

Housing for Women is a housing association and charity providing housing and support services for women and their families in London.

Our ReConnect project provides supported accommodation for women leaving prison dealing with substance misuse and with complex needs. Combining housing and person-centered support we help women to bring about positive changes in their lives, reduce substance misuse, improve their emotional well-being and prevent future re-offending.

Our ReUnite project works with mothers leaving prison who would otherwise be homeless. The project provides supported accommodation and holistic support to help reunite women released from prison with their children.

Citizens Advice - Hull and East Riding provides legal advice, information and specialist casework for people in the City of Hull and the East Riding. Areas covered include debt, benefits, housing, employment, family and relationship issues, consumer matters and immigration.
We also focus on preventative work including financial capability
and money management training and 1-1 mentoring support.
We have previously offered both advice and training to people in prison.
75% of our workforce are dedicated volunteers, many of whom are training to become Advisers under the national Citizens Advice Certificate in Generalist Advice. Volunteers also fulfil other roles such as Trustee, social policy co-ordinator, assessor, administrator and reception. We take ex-offender volunteers, subject to certain criteria and can work with offender volunteers in limited circumstances.

Hull CVS Volunteer Centre works with volunteer involving organisations from the voluntary, community, public and not for profit sectors. We work with organisations to promote and raise awareness of volunteering in Hull, develop and advertise new volunteer opportunities, provide information, advice and guidance on Good Practice in volunteering and offer training in the management and support of volunteers. We also run a volunteer drop-in service where we help signpost members of the public to relevant volunteer opportunities, and deliver the Big Lottery funded Volunteer Support Project, working specifically with people with additional support needs to enable them to gain access to volunteering and training.

Hull FC Community Foundation is the independent charitable arm of rugby league club Hull FC. Established in 2006, the Foundation uses the power of sport and strong local influence of the professional side to make the biggest difference possible in the community through the delivery of needs led projects targeting four agendas: Sports and Physical Activity, Education and Employability, Health and Wellbeing, and Social Inclusion. All projects are underpinned by our values of Challenge, Compassion, Determination, Honesty, and Respect.

Our mission is to improve the health and wellbeing of children, young people and adults through participation in sports and physical activity and to raise the aspirations and skills of young people and vulnerable adults through our learning and training programmes. We adopt a pro-active approach towards working in partnership with public, private and third sector organisations who share our ethos for the role sport can play in addressing inequality.

Hull FC Community Foundation is the independent charity of professional rugby league side, Hull FC. Using the power of sport and the strong local influence, we make the biggest difference possible to the lives of vulnerable people through delivering needs led projects targeting four key areas: Participation, Education, Health, and Social Inclusion. As a registered charity, the Foundation ensures that the club’s work in the local communities is further enhanced through local strategic partnerships within the public, private and voluntary sector.

Our Non-Religious Pastoral Support Network provides a much needed alternative to religious chaplaincy to those in custody.

Humbercare was established to work with the Humberside Probation Trust. We work to: educate, rehabilitate and promote the mental and moral improvement of offenders, or any other persons in need and the rehabilitation of persons discharged from penal institutions. Humbercare received charitable status during 1989 and became a company limited by guarantee in October of that year. Humbercare came from a desire to be able to offer additional help and assistance to offenders and those at risk to reduce the risk of re-offending through local projects.

Humbercare is managed by a Chief Executive Officer and a voluntary Management Committee. Humbercare is an enabling organisation dedicated to providing quality and innovative services to adults and young people. It is Humbercare's belief that all people should have the opportunity to realise their full potential, improve skills, optimise their life chances and become responsible members of the community.

A service to support people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and have mental health and substance misuse problems.

We support people to access services that will help them towards mental health recovery and abstinence from substances as well as supporting them to access or maintain tenancies whilst they manage such complex needs.

ICENA is a social enterprise, dedicated to empowering individuals and organisations to create social change. We provide training and consultancy to help create safe, harassment-free and equitable spaces and workplaces.

Kahaila is a church and non-profit café in East London committed to making a positive social impact, working with the most marginalised in society. Out of this commitment, Kahaila has established four different social action projects and currently run three:
Essence – supporting young, female offenders and ex-offenders through personal mentoring and accredited Life Skills courses (from the national youth offending charity Reflex) along with much needed pastoral and practical support within women’s prisons and the community.
Ella’s – providing the only available long term accommodation support and advocacy to sexually exploited and trafficked women in London.
Brew - barista training courses for those who have experienced homelessness.

DAS is the largest specialist charity in Yorkshire supporting anyone experiencing or affected by domestic abuse or sexual violence.

Our services include refuge accommodation, community based support, peer mentoring, group work and access to a free, confidential out of hours’ helpline.

Our teams of accredited specialist workers (IDVA’s and ISVAs) support people through the criminal justice system in addition to providing emotional support and safety planning advice.

We recognise that most victims of domestic abuse and sexual violence are women and we provide a number of single sex services such as refuges to women and their children. However, the majority of our services are accessible to anyone who is affected by abuse and we encourage male and LGBT+ victims and survivors to access our support.

For children and young people, we have developed one to one and group support. Our young persons’ RYPP (Respect Young Person’s Programme) also works with families where the young person is abusive.

We pride ourselves on our professional, responsive and innovative approach. With over 40 years’ experience we have been at the forefront of developing new and unique services and were the first organisation in the UK to develop free online training and Live Chat support for survivors.

Imaginapedia is an online portal designed to empower incarcerated individuals through creativity and expression.
Imaginapedia serves as a platform for prisoners to upload and share their literary works, fostering a supportive community where individuals can explore their talents and share their stories
The purpose of Imaginapedia is twofold. Firstly, it aims to encourage creativity among prisoners as a means of rehabilitation. Studies have shown that engaging in creative activities, such as writing, can have a positive impact on mental well-being and aid in the rehabilitation process.
Imaginapedia.com is a platform to uplift the self-worth of incarcerated individuals by showcasing their talents and providing validation for their efforts. By providing a space for inmates to express themselves through literature, Imaginapedia.com seeks to support their journey towards personal growth and transformation.

imagine if was founded in 2015 to instigate real change in people’s lives through the arts. The company is run by founding Artistic Director, Francesca Joy and is based in Leeds.

imagine if has a strong track record of working in prisons nationally and with prison leavers in the community, with the main geographical focus being across Yorkshire. We have worked in 26 prisons across the UK and USA, having engaged with over 9,000 prisoners and continually supporting prisoners when they are released into the community, for as long as individuals require support.

We have demonstrated that theatre is a powerful tool that can be used to reach out and connect with people from all areas of society. The theatre we create is based on the world around us comprising real stories from real people. We aim to create work that is inspiring, entertaining and unashamedly honest for intimate audiences.

Imagine support service users with dual diagnosis including mental health and substance misuse. We provide employment services for this group. We provide person-centered support for people with mental health and substance misuse issues and offending profiles. We have specialist skills in supporting women and men with mental health needs who have offending histories. Peer Support Workers are employed with substantial lived experience with regard to mental illness and substance misuse. We provide Mentoring Services whereby volunteers (many have lived experience) support service users to expand social networks and engage in mainstream activities. Imagine have substantial experience of providing Accommodation and Floating Support Services for this client group. Our specialised services support women with a Borderline Personality Disorder diagnosis along with complex mental health needs. We also support men with PD who have been discharged from prison.

Imago Dei Prison Ministry wants to see women live out their true identity and purpose. We believe that no one should be defined by their past or even their current circumstances.

There are many reasons and contributing factors as to why women find themselves in prison. By helping to address these issues during the time spent in custody we believe we are offering real practical solutions and helping prisoners to become healed and whole ready for release. We want to equip and empower women to live with purpose, enabling them to make better life choices and to live as valuable members of the community. This in turn has a knock-on effect on family-life and society, increases employability upon release, as well as helps to reduce re-offending.

We currently work in 4 women's prisons alongside chaplaincy departments facilitating various different courses, such as loss, victim awareness, self-development, forgiveness, etc and providing pastoral support and care for individuals.
