RiseUp CiC was started by an ex offender who has gained a 1st class degree, writing awards and teaching qualifications. He is now a community artist and Director at RiseUp.
RiseUp promote Resilience, Self Reliance and Reintegration. We work with prisoners, prison leavers and those at risk of offending. We teach tried and tested techniques that develop confidence and efficacy, communication skills and stress / anger management. the creative arts ensure all of our programmes are fun, engaging and memorable.
We teach techniques taken from NLP, CBT, Mindfulness and others. All of our practitioners are highly trained, qualified and passionate about making a difference to people's lives.
Programmes also include 1-2-1 mentoring, CV writing and Action Planning.
Our programmes at prisons, secure units, schools and other settings have produced incredible results. In the words of one participant in HMP Risley, "RiseUp is a gift to the world. This course, just the start."
