Oxfordshire Community and Voluntary Action

We run the Bullingdon Community Connections Project. This project works solely in HMP Bullingdon, linking the VCS to the justice system. Our officer works on engaging the community to feel connected to the prison, working with groups to facilitate opportunities to the men in the prison, raising the profile of community projects to those inside the prison and highlighting the positive effects it has on the men. A number of other work streams have come from this including our role in the creation of a departure lounge, stronger connections with probation and accommodation.
