Patsy Joyce is the Founder and Director of Mokkha CIC, a lived experience-led organisation working across criminal justice, recovery, mental health, violence against women and girls, and social exclusion.
With over 15 years’ experience in senior leadership roles across the charity, criminal justice and community sectors, Patsy has led complex services spanning probation, prisons, accommodation, youth violence prevention, employability and community recovery. Her career has included senior operational leadership within St Giles Trust, overseeing Ministry of Justice-funded services, violence reduction programmes, and multi-agency partnerships across Yorkshire.
Drawing on both professional and lived experience, Patsy specialises in trauma-informed, relational approaches that bridge the gap between statutory systems and communities. She is particularly passionate about ensuring the voices of people with lived experience shape service design, policy and early intervention approaches.
Through Mokkha CIC, Patsy has developed innovative peer-led programmes supporting people leaving prison, women affected by trauma and abuse, and individuals facing multiple disadvantage. Her work focuses on creating sustainable pathways towards recovery, belonging, wellbeing and long-term resilience.
