Nicola holds the women’s seat on the RR3 and has worked in the criminal justice voluntary sector for over 10 years. She is passionate about working to address the structural inequalities that draw women and girls into contact with the criminal justice system. She began her career in the sector working at Revolving Doors Agency before moving to Clinks where she managed the policy team. Nicola was a member of the expert panel that informed the second Farmer Review into supporting family ties for women in prison and led the call for evidence that heard from about 10% of the women’s prison population at the time.
She is now the Director of External Affairs and Campaigns at Women in Prison, a national charity that works with women in contact with the criminal justice system in both the community and prison and campaigns for change.
