Business Support Worker
The Business Support Officer will play a vital role in providing administrative, operational and HR support to ensure the effective delivery of the Invisible Walls School Zone service.
This is aimed at improving educational and wellbeing outcomes for children and families affected by parental imprisonment.
This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team.

- Administrative Support: Manage day-to-day office operations, including scheduling meetings, maintaining filing systems, and handling correspondence.
- Data Management: Assist in collecting, analyzing, and reporting on project data to measure outcomes and effectiveness.
- Collaboration and Liaison: Serve as a point of contact for internal teams and external stakeholders, facilitating communication and collaboration.
- Financial Administration: Support budget tracking, processing invoices, and maintaining financial records.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, presentations, and training materials.
- Event Coordination: Assist in organising workshops, training sessions, and community engagement events.
- HR Support: Assist with recruitment processes, including posting job advertisements, coordinating interviews, and onboarding new staff. Maintain employee records and assist with performance management processes.
- Work in collaboration with volunteers and student placements.
- Undergo training as deemed appropriate for the position.
- Provide accurate, well-presented compliance-focused information/reports and maintain systems for gathering output/outcome information and Case Management records.
- Ensure compliance with IWCIC policies and appropriate legislative or dictated policies, including Child Protection, Data Protection & FOI, and Health & Safety.
- Work with prison and other managers and structures to enhance engagement with the new service.
- Maintain positive and effective working relationships with prison staff (e.g., Visits, Visitor Centre, Resettlement, Security, Offender Management).
- Establish good relationships and lines of communication with internal and external contacts.
- Attend relevant internal and external meetings as required.
- Undertake all relevant administrative, evaluative, and statistical tasks and assist in the daily, weekly, and monthly collation of all relevant data for reporting (e.g., monthly returns, KPIs, KPTs).
- Communicate effectively at all times with the general public and internal departments, ensuring company policies and procedures are followed.
- Assist in the promotion of creating a positive Health & Safety culture across the service, including reporting accidents and near misses and following safe systems of work.
