1. Check to see if your organisation is a Clinks member
Clinks members can post vacancies on the Clinks job board for free. Non-members may post a vacancy for £125.
If you are unsure if your organisation is a member or not, email membership@clinks.org. If you are not yet a member, you can find out more information on how to become one here.
2. Log-in or register on the Clinks website
You need to be logged in to the Clinks website to post a job. When you are logged in, make sure that your account is linked to your organisation. Then you can select your organisation from the drop-down list. This will ensure that the site recognises your membership status if applicable.
3. Add the vacancy details
Once logged in, return to the vacancies page here. Click on the 'Post a Job' button on the right hand-side to post a vacancy.
Vacancies should be within your organisation, in the criminal justice system and be open to applications from everyone. We encourage all organisations to sign up to the Ban the Box campaign and welcome applications from people with convictions. For more guidance, please see Unlock and Nacro’s websites.
We have signed the Show the salary campaign pledge and encourage others to do so too. The campaign is asking organisations to be open about salary expectations and not to ask for previous salaries on applications when advertising roles. It aims to close the pay gaps and inequities that exist in the job market. All of our job board listings should show the salary, or salary range, for each position.
4. The vacancy will appear as soon as possible
We need to review each job advert to ensure that it is appropriate before it is published on our website.
- For members' job vacancies, this may take up to two working days.
- For non-members' job vacancies, payment will need to be made in full before the vacancy is published.
5. Light Lunch and Twitter
We share a selection of Clinks' members' vacancies in our Light Lunch ebulletin, which is sent out every Friday to over 13,000 people working in, or with an interest in, the criminal justice system in England and Wales. This includes the job title, location and organisation name. Non-members' vacancies are not promoted in Light Lunch. The job board is regularly promoted on Twitter.
6. Featured vacancies
Members’ vacancies can be promoted as a guaranteed stand-alone listing in Light Lunch for a £100 fee per vacancy. The listing has a maximum of 125 words about the role, as well as key details such as location and salary and a link to the full listing on our job board.
Example featured vacancy:
