Barnsley Recovery Steps provide a wide range of interventions to individuals who require support around drug or alcohol use. We are now recruiting Recovery Navigators within our Community and Criminal Justice Teams, who are passionate and committed to delivering high quality case management and care co-ordination. You will be acting as both supporter and facilitator, for those in structured treatment wanting to make positive changes that help individuals achieve their treatment goals. You will be responsible for recovery focused assessment, recovery planning and risk management in addition to the delivery of appropriate personalised interventions at all stages of treatment. You will work flexibly co-ordinating care within a multi-disciplinary team and with a range of local health and social and care agencies to ensure service users receive safe and effective treatment.
Experience of working in the field is not essential, however applicants will be expected to demonstrate some knowledge and understanding around supporting those who use drugs and/or alcohol alongside excellent communication skills and a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
Starting salary is negotiable depending on skills and experience.
