Nepacs is a regional charity which supports positive futures for prisoners and their families.
Voluntarism is a core value of the organisation. Nepacs believes that volunteering provides an opportunity for members of the community to make a difference to the lives of people affected by imprisonment of a friend or family member – it is a critically important part of our work.
We wish to recruit an experienced Volunteer Co-ordinator who will be the “champion” for volunteers within the organisation, and will build on Nepacs’ skills and experience in recruiting, training and supporting volunteers to deliver a range of services in north east prisons, prison visitors’ centres, within community rehabilitation companies and local courts.
All applicants will have excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills and possess the ability to network with statutory and voluntary agencies.
The successful candidate will also be expected to work flexible hours, including weekend working.
All successful appointments are subject to Prison Service vetting, DBS and pre employment checks.
