Humankind’s Independent Living Unit offers a range of housing-related support services, advice and guidance to help people obtain accommodation and progress towards a sustained independent lifestyle in the community. We work with a wide variety of clients, often with histories including substance misuse, offending, mental ill health and homelessness, to overcome barriers and achieve social inclusion. The following opportunity has arisen to join our successful supported accommodation service – The Greens.
The Greens is a 21 bed abstinence-based service for those who are in housing need and are recovering from substance misuse problems. The service offers a mix of individual support work with our residents and a group-based recovery program.
You will support clients to set up, maximise their income and pay rent, reduce debts, develop independent living skills and maintain their health and wellbeing. You will work as part of an experienced and committed team and will be outcome-focused and committed to help Sheffield residents realise their full potential.
