Do you hold NVQ level 2 in Social Care, Youth Work or Children’s Residential or equivalent appropriate qualification?
Do you have experience of supporting socially disadvantaged and vulnerable people, in particular young adults? Do you have experience of working in an environment that is health and safety conscience? Do you have a good understanding of child protection, risk assessments and safeguarding around legislation?
Do you have the ability to develop and influence others? Do you have the ability to provide advice and guidance? Do you have the ability to use basic Microsoft Office packages?
Are you able to maintain attention to detail, ensure all work is accurate, concise and understandable? Do you have commitment to the values of Changing Lives? Do you have commitment to equality and diversity?

Changing Lives is a national charity that supports over 17,000 people each year. We are a well-respected, growing organisation dedicated to supporting the most vulnerable people across the UK.
We began as a soup run supporting people who were homeless in the North East over 45 years ago, and are proud to still have our main base and central office in the North East. Since 1970, our services have grown and developed to support people experiencing a wide range of personal challenges, including addiction and recovery programmes, employment guidance, help for people in prison or on probation, and support for people experiencing sexual exploitation or domestic abuse.

To work with the Changing Lives clients in order to improve their quality of life and to deliver an excellent service for our clients in line with the organisation’s mission, service goals, values and associated regulations, guidance and legislature.
This post is fixed term for 12 months.
