As a Children Young People and Family Worker, you will be joining a dedicated and dynamic team who believe in innovation and developing the service in line with the needs of young people. You will help deliver interventions such as, Motivational Interviewing, family support, specialist harm reduction, and relapse prevention, to address drug and alcohol use and associated issues for young people in County Durham. You will also help promote health improvements and contribute to the reduction of risk taking behaviour of the young people engaging with the service, as well as provide support in a variety of settings for young people including in the home, schools and community settings.
We are looking for a motivated and innovative individual who understands the needs and challenges young people face today. The successful candidate will have access to a car.
This post is for a Young Persons worker to work within the Young Peoples County Durham Drug and Alcohol Recovery Service. The service delivers psychosocial interventions CBT, Motivational Interviewing, family support, specialist harm reduction, and relapse prevention to address drug and alcohol use and associated issues for young people resident in County Durham.
