Providing a safe environment in which people can develop the life skills, and confidence to achieve and maintain recovery and abstinence from their substance misuse, successfully re-integrate into society, and become active, contributing citizens.
Based in our Mary Street, Sunderland hub, you will be required to work as part of a team to provide recovery planning and case management to clients sentenced to DRR or ATR and clients with substance misuse issues coming out to the community after serving a prison sentence.
You will be involved in all stages of the service user’s recovery journey, from the assessment and engagement phase, providing holistic and structured recovery coordination and PSI. The post holder will be required to deliver group and 1:1 support to clients.
The post holder will be expected to work closely with partner agencies in the prisons, the Probation Service, the community and outreach settings. The post holder will support parents/carers where appropriate.
