Ivelina joined Clinks in September 2018 as the Development Officer for West Yorkshire. The role is grant funded by the West Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner to enable, support and grow the voluntary sector footprint across criminal justice and community safety priorities in West Yorkshire. The work involves representing, developing and supporting existing and new networks between the voluntary sector and stakeholders working in criminal justice and community safety. Ivelina provides a single point of contact for strategic engagement and communication supporting a West Yorkshire third sector reducing reoffending reference group. Activities will include developing networks, supporting regional sector engagement with commissioners and key stakeholders, and acting as a conduit between local and national policy and practice. Before joining Clinks, Ivelina was the Policy and Networks Officer for West Yorkshire-Finding Independence, a Big Lottery funded programme driving system change to support people with multiple needs in West Yorkshire. Her experience in the voluntary sector also includes developing a regional BAME programme for Yorkshire and the Humber Forum, engaging with local specialist infrastructure organisations, and setting up a communications and training hub. Before her work in the sector, Ivelina was managing a range of projects for the Yorkshire and Humberside Regional Consortium and worked for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Central and Eastern Europe. She has extensive experience as a volunteer in different organisations and roles.
