Create
We know unleashing creativity ignites imaginations, develops confidence and builds relationships. Like setting off a firework, our professional artists light the touch paper and our participants discover new found self-belief and a desire to try more, do more and be more.
We’re a national charity that champions local priorities by collaborating with our partners to tailor every project to each individual’s needs.
We know that music can help ease the anguish of a parent with a terminally ill child, that drama can build an isolated young carer’s self-esteem and that storytelling can strengthen the bond between a young offender and the loved ones waiting for them at home.
One spark of creative energy opens up a world of positive opportunities. Create lights that spark.

East West Support Network
Escaping Victimhood
We deliver four day (plus a one day follow up day) residential workshops designed to enable participants to ‘understand the past and embrace the future’. We also inform those working with victims of serious crime about the impact of trauma in their lives.
Our programme was developed to address the issues and helps restore participants to a more 'normal' life. It is unique and is delivered by skilled and professional facilitators. They are overseen by a lead facilitator, who is a highly experienced victim liaison worker and ensures strong and safe leadership of the workshop. . The structure of the programme is psycho-educative and therapeutic (with a small t) in a generic rather than specific sense.
Fine Cell Work
We have a workforce of approximately 250 prisoners across 30 prisons. The apprenticeship training is done by 50 skilled volunteers. The prisoners make hand-embroidered quilts, cushions, clothes, rugs and furniture covers which are sold internationally and to museums and designers.
Our aim is to enable prisoners to gain motivation and “work-readiness” by doing cellwork and to follow on with further employment preparation in workshops where they can do accredited training in soft furnishings, machine embroidery and upholstery.
Garden Organic
Our vision is of a healthy and sustainable world that has embraced organic growing.
We champion organic gardening by focusing on individual, community and school growing projects throughout the UK. We promote its health and wellbeing benefits which include it being a good form of exercise, a stimulus to a better diet and a tool for social interaction. As part of this work we are currently working in Rye Hill Prison, delivering a gardening project to support the rehabilitation of offenders suffering from drug and alchohol abuse. Noise Solution
Our programmes work on a one to one basis with the hardest to reach learners and the key outcome is increased confidence as well as re-engagement with professional or education services and, potentially, progression to other appropriate opportunities. Clients learn the skills that they need to create music they view as relevant to them – it could be grime, dubstep, trance, hip hop or any other genre. Many clients undertake Arts Awards which are meaningful qualifications which can be used to build up credits towards a college place.
Noise Solution uses cutting edge music technology and has an absolute focus on excellence in provision. As a result we have consistently impressive results with clients for whom there are often few choices left.
